With the same thread up, the surface space-dyed warp threads are dragged left or right by the silver filament rayon weft. It is advisable to work with two beams, one for the basis background threads and one for the effect yarns with a  looser tension.

 

If using effect yarns in the warp is too difficult then the whole construction could be turned 90˚ like the left hand sample. New threading is required!

This variation gives a more irregular look. The pattern is quite long but only a section of it is shown  in the lifting plan

The blue filament rayon floats give an added dimension, breaking up the strict vertical look of the warp floats.
